Our Process

We guide you from your initial vision to a clear, buildable landscape design. Here's what working with Sage Coast looks like:

1. Free Initial Consultation

We start with a complimentary on-site consultation. During this visit, we:

  • Walk the space together and discuss your goals, aesthetic preferences, and budget.

  • Take photos and site measurements.

  • Assess the scope and complexity of your space and provide a quote for the design package that fits your project.

For smaller, planting-focused areas, we may recommend our Garden Design Package—a streamlined service for simple updates that don’t require full 3D/2D planning.

2. Design Development

If you decide to move forward, we get to work. Using your site conditions, aesthetic preferences, and our deep knowledge of Southern California plants and materials, we create a tailored design concept.

We consider layout, sun exposure, slope, spatial flow, and overall functionality to make sure your space works beautifully in real life—not just on paper.

Design concepts are typically delivered within 2 to 4 weeks.

3. Design Presentation

You’ll receive a thoughtfully prepared design package that includes:

  • 3D Concept Visuals: Rendered views or a walkthrough video to help you visualize the space.

  • 2D Plans: Labeled layout with key dimensions and one round of plant and material suggestions suited to your site and style.

4. Client Review & Revision

We meet to review your design together, walking through every element so you feel confident and informed.

Minor tweaks based on this conversation—such as small adjustments to planting or materials—are included. Major changes, like alternate layouts or full rework, can be quoted separately.
